Welcome to OMARS
If the problem is quality, alternative programs for education and mentorship, then the solution is OMARS Academy. OMARS provides the highest quality alternative educational, social, and mindful programs for children, young adults, and educators. We aim to prepare the next generation of leaders by establishing childcare, home schooling, and before care and after care school programs, combining mindfulness and a Montessori based curriculum, focusing on the wellness of the individual child within a harmonious community. Additionally, OMARS aims to help develop mindful educators, improve classroom culture, implement Montessori pedagogy, improve self-care, and promote the organic development of children.
OMARS is the manifestation of the vision of its founder, Mensa Prescott-Jones, and her husband Jack Jones III. Mensa is a life-long educator with a background in Montessori Education and the Mindful Approach to learning. Jack is a 20-year veteran of the US Air Force, with a background in human resources and business administration. They both are passionate about education, mentorship, and growing in spaces with others.
Mensa and Jack are soulmates who have been together for over 20 years. They are intrinsically connected through life’s most precious moments. Mensa’s brother, Omar Prescott, tragically passed away in an automobile accident in 2020 and Jack’s brother, Elliott Jones, passed on the same day one year later. Both of their brothers were proponents of youth education, and their legacy was cemented with the formation of OMARS Academy. The founders hope to one day build brick and mortar centers nationwide to provide organic professional support and mindfulness to students and educators.
